5 Tips To Making 2010 Your Best Online Year Yet:
The new year is only a day away. No doubt lots of you will be celebrating. And with plenty of new resolutions on your mind, this may actually be the best time to make 2010 your best online year yet.
This is also the perfect time to forget the past, learn from your mistakes, review last year’s accomplishment and disappointments, make a new plan of action and even get a new start.
1. What Happened Last Year?
Review your sites, blogs, squeeze pages, sales and so forth. Make not of how well or (how bad) your online pages performed. Can you improve conversion rates or generate more targeted traffic? Are the products you offered last year adequate and of good quality? How closely do these products relate to your content?
Taking a brief “inventory” of last year’s accomplishments (regardless how small) gives you a quick be realistic overview of where you stand and what you need to do to improve your online status.
2. Implement A Plan Of Change:
Based on your review findings, create a plan of action that has specific steps to improve your online income. Rather than spending time on creating new sites or additional blogs, the first month of the new year may be a perfect time to improve your existing internet business.
3. Create A Plan Of Action:
Since the first few months of the new year will most likely be a bit slow, this is a perfect time to create a step by step plan of action for things you wish to accomplish this year.
For example:
Action step 1: Getting more targeted traffic.
Then list different methods you can use to increase your targeted traffic.
Action step 2: Getting more responsive subscribers.
Here you would list all your action steps you need to take to accomplish this task. For instance:
. Redesign opt-in form for more appeal and higher conversion
. Build autoresponder with high-response emails
. Offer more free, highly targeted reports and content.
4. Set Specific Goals:
Write down in detail what you wish to accomplish throughout the year and at what intervals. Use step 3 above to create an action plan to accomplish these goals.
For example:
. Goal 1: gain 100 new responsive subscribers by end of Februrary 2010
. Goal 2: increase subscribers by count of 50 every month thereafter.
. Goal 3: increase income by 10% every month.
Write down the exact steps you are going to implement to accomplish these goals.
5. Focus, Track and Review:
Probably, the biggest factor attributing to 2010 being your best online year yet is your ability to stay focus on the tasks at hand. Make it a point to do something to improve the quality of your online business EVERY DAY!
Write an article, create a new small free report, add a few backlinks, send emails … whatever “little bit” you choose to do has a much greater impact than you not doing anything.
At the end of each month, review your accomplishments and compare them with your goals. If you’ve succeeded or even surpassed your expectations, continue what you are doing … you are most certainly on the right track.
On the other hand if your did not meet your goals, don’t beat yourself up over it. Instead look for ways to increase your online business even more or, recheck your goals to make sure you are realistic in your expectations.
Expecting to earn $10,000 in just 10 days starting from scratch with no highly responsive subscribers base or existing customer base is unrealistic. In that case, readjust your goals and continue your commitment to make 2010 your best year yet.
