I have also found that if you limit the amount of information the prospect is required to submit it also helps to get a response. Some squeeze pages ask for addresses, (generating junk mail) telephone numbers, (generating un-needed sales calls) first and last names, then e-mail. 

These types of opt-in pages usually end up generating junk consisting of spam about everything but what you were interested in to begin with. I have found if you limit your requirements to only &quot;First Name and e-Mail&quot; or just &quot;e-mail&quot; it helps considerably.
 
If you are good at social networking, writing articles or advertising you can improve your amount of opt-ins, just by adding video to your squeeze page. You do not have to set up your own site; you can outsource that for not too much cost and be focusing all your efforts toward the marketing end of things.
